- To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport when he plans to publish his Department's strategy for library services; and if he will make a statement.

The Library Service Modernisation Review will be published in the autumn. Although this is later than previously announced the delay is to enable the review to take into consideration the outcome of the local inquiry into the provision of library services by Wirral metropolitan borough council, which is expected to report in late July.
