Gulf War Illnesses
- Question
- To ask Her Majesty's Government further to the Written Answer by Baroness Taylor of Bolton on 20 May (WA 323) on there being no Defence Minister at the Symposium held in the House of Lords on24 March on the report of the Congressionally-mandated United States Research Advisory committee's inquiry into Gulf War Illnesses, whether they now have copies of the factual information proffered by Lord Tyler in his supplementary question to Lord Tunnicliffe on 27 April (Official Report, House of Lords, col. 9); and whether they will amend the parliamentary record on the basis of that information.
- Answer
-
The noble Lord, Lord Tyler, has not forwarded the letters he referred to during his supplementary question to the MoD on 27 April (Official Report, cols. 8-10). Without further details or copies of the letters it is not possible for the MoD to comment any further. There is no requirement to amend the parliamentary record because our position remains as set out in the Answer I gave on 20 May (Official Report, col. WA 323).
