Audit Commission: Public Appointments
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government when he expects to make appointments of Audit Commissioners to replace those commissioners who retired at the end of March 2009.
- Answer
-
Three audit commissioners left the board at the end of April 2009. The statutory size of the board is being reduced from 1 August and in the light of this, we are not replacing all three members.Interviews took place in June 2009, to appoint one new member to the Audit Commission board and we expect to announce a decision shortly.
