Departmental Responsibilities

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government which Minister in his Department has lead policy responsibility for the Audit Commission.
Answer

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government is responsible for all areas of policy, including those relating to the Audit Commission. I as Minister of State for Local Government, lead on oversight of the Audit Commission on his behalf.
