Young people: Unemployment

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families pursuant to the answer of 9 July 2009, Official Report, column 1018W, on young people: unemployed, how many and what proportion of people aged 16 to 24 years old were not in education, employment or training in each region in the second quarter of 2009.
Answer

Quarterly estimates of the number of people aged 16-24 who were not in education, employment or training are produced from the labour force survey (LFS). The LFS data relating to the second quarter of 2009 is not available until 12 August 2009.
