Dangerous Dogs Act 1991
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many people have been prosecuted under the provisions of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 for importing a prohibited breed of dog in each of the last five years.
- Answer

As there is no offence of importing a prohibited type dog into this country contained in the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, there have been no such prosecutions over the last five years.
