Dangerous Dogs Act 1991

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many people have been prosecuted under the provisions of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 for importing a prohibited breed of dog in each of the last five years.
Answer

As there is no offence of importing a prohibited type dog into this country contained in the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, there have been no such prosecutions over the last five years.
