- To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs whether his Department has (a) commissioned and (b) evaluated research on the merits of microchipping of dogs.

DEFRA has not commissioned any research or assessed research by others into the social benefits of microchipping of dogs.
