Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what medication the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence is assessing in relation to the treatment of complex regional pain syndrome.

Answer: The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is not developing guidance specifically on the treatment of complex regional pain syndrome.NICE is developing a short clinical guideline on the pharmacological management of neuropathic pain in adults in non-specialist settings and recently published draft guidance for consultation.
