- To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what guidance has been given to local authorities by the Information Commissioner on the classifying of individuals on List 98.

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has not issued any guidance to local authorities on this matter.However, "The Employment Practices Code" produced by the ICO contains guidance for employers on a range of data protection issues including pre-employment checks.
