Rural Areas: Economy

Question
To ask Her Majesty's Government what additional budget provision is available to promote rural development throughout the United Kingdom.
Answer

In addition to any mainstream funding available for both urban and rural development, £6.7 billion is available specifically for rural development through the four UK rural development programmes for the period 2007-13.
