Young People: Unemployment
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how many parents aged between 16 and 18 years old were not in education, employment or training in each quarter of each year since 1997.
- Answer

Quarterly estimates of the number and proportion of young people aged 16-18 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) are produced from the labour force survey (LFS). The sample size of the quarterly LFS is too small to allow robust estimates of the proportion of 16 to 18-year-old parents who are NEET.
