Parrots: Animal Welfare

- To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what minimum standards and size of caging his Department has set for parrots under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
- Answer

There are no minimum cage sizes for parrots under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Under the Act owners must provide for the welfare needs of their animals and this includes a suitable environment.
