Climate Change: Publicity

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change how much his Department had spent on its advertising campaign Act on CO2 at the latest date for which information is available.
Answer

DECC was created in October 2008, however the Save Money, Save Energy campaign was launched in September 2008, therefore figures reported are from the start of that campaign.From September 2008 to March 2009, invoiced cost on DECC's Act on CO2 advertising campaign was £10.19 million inclusive of fees, exclusive of VAT and covers all costs associated with the campaign.From April 2009 to 16 March 2010, the estimated cost was £9.98 million inclusive of fees, exclusive of VAT and covers all costs associated with the campaign.
