Proceeding contribution from Baroness Harman (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 25 February 2010. It occurred during Business statement on Business of the House.
Business of the House
We have said on a number of occasions that the ending of discrimination in the succession is being discussed with other Commonwealth countries. The Queen is, of course, not only the Head of State of this country, but Queen of the Commonwealth countries. I suggest that the hon. Gentleman discuss the timing of clauses and new proposals in relation to the remaining stages of the Constitutional Renewal and Governance Bill with the ministerial team at the Ministry of Justice.
