Social Security Benefits

- To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what estimate she has made of the monetary value of unclaimed benefits of each type in (a) the Highlands, (b) Scotland and (c) England and Wales in each of the last three years.

Estimates of unclaimed benefits are available for Great Britain only; they are not available for the geographical areas requested.The latest estimates of unclaimed benefit amounts for Great Britain are published in the report "Income Related Benefits Estimates of Take-Up in 2007-08" a copy of which is available in the Library.
