Armed Forces: Afghanistan

Question
To ask Her Majesty's Government how many British Armed Forces medical staff have been deployed to Afghanistan in each year since 2001.
Answer

The following table summarises data available from centrally held records of the number of Armed Forces medical staff deployed to Afghanistan over the period April 2006 to February 2010.

"*rounded to the nearest 10." These data exclude those medical staff who are integral to the deployed battle groups. The number of medical personnel deployed to Afghanistan between 2001 to April 2006 is not held centrally.
