- To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families what proportion of pupils in state schools in Leeds North West constituency achieved five GCSEs including mathematics and English in (a) 1997 and (b) the most recent year for which figures are available.

The requested information is provided in the following table for the 2003/04 and the 2008/09 academic years. Information about whether a pupil achieved five or more GCSEs or equivalent including English and maths GCSEs has only been available on the Department's National Pupil Database since the 2003/04 academic year.
