UK Border Agency's War Crimes Unit

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people have been screened by the UK Border Agency's War Crimes Unit in each year since 2004.

As of February 2010 the UKBA War Crimes Unit has completed 3,490 case files. The total breaks down as follows:
Number 2004 and 2005 448 2006 326 2007 600 2008 797 2009 1,152 2010 (to end of February) 167 The total will include some cases that have been referred more than once. This figure is based on local management information and is not provided under National Statistics protocols.
