- To ask Her Majesty's Government how many Iraqi refugees there are in countries neighbouring Iraq.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) provides the only verifiable data on the number of Iraqi refugees. As of 31 January 2010, the total number of refugees registered with UNHCR across the region was 228,733, of which 163,207 are located in Syria; 38,833 in Jordan; 9,015 in Lebanon; 6,608 in Egypt; 6,658 in Turkey; and 4,412 in Iran.
