Police: Northern Ireland

- To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the comments by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Shaun Woodward, about withdrawing £800 million of funding for policing and justice gave adequate consideration to the safety of the community in Northern Ireland; and whether the comments were intended only to influence the decision by the Northern Ireland Assembly on whether to devolve policing and justice.

The additional £800 million of funding was agreed specifically in the context of the devolution of policing and justice, and it was at all times clear that it was only on offer in that context.
