Health Services: Isle of Man

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) whether the negotiations between his Department's officials and the government of the Isle of Man on the bilateral agreement on health services of 30 March 2010 included representatives of (a) the Ministry of Justice and (b) health ministries of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales; and if he will make a statement;
Answer

Negotiations, which were based on a United Kingdom wide approach, did not include representatives from the devolved Administrations, nor the Ministry of Justice. However, following negotiations, the Department of Health will be consulting with the devolved Administrations and the Ministry of Justice, before finalising the terms of any new reciprocal healthcare agreement with the Isle of Man.
