Kingskerswell Bypass
- Question
- What representations the Government office for the south-west has received from Torbay unitary authority on the timetable for building the Kingskerswell bypass.
- Answer
-
The most recent return (Quarter 2 2008-09) received by the Government office for the south-west from Devon county council and Torbay council showed that the estimated date for start of construction was March 2010 and that construction would be completed by March 2013. A public inquiry into scheme orders commenced on 7 July 2009. Subject to confirmation of the orders and Department for Transport final funding approval, Devon and Torbay now expect construction to start in October 2010 and be complete in October 2013.
