Jobcentre Plus

Question: What discussions he has had with the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions on the availability of Jobcentre Plus branches and other services for the unemployed in Dorset; and if he will make a statement.

Answer: In addition to the six full and part-time Jobcentre Plus offices within Dorset, customer access phones and flexible service delivery arrangements are available in various locations throughout rural parts of the county including children’s centres, GP surgeries, etc. To continue to provide excellent customer service, JCP Dorset has recruited 70 additional staff since April 2009 and extended opening hours both in the evenings and weekends, and is undertaking estates work to all four full-time offices.
