Children: Databases

- To ask the Secretary of State for Education how many children in each local education authority (a) are and (b) are not recorded on the ContactPoint database.

[holding answer 14 June 2010]: ContactPoint was designed to hold basic information on every child in England, by gathering data from a range of national and local data sources. The system is not set up to run reports on numbers of children in each local authority.
