Ammanford Magistrates Court
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Justice whether he has made an estimate of the number of people who will be resident 15 or more miles away from their nearest magistrates court as a result of the closure of the Ammanford and Llandovery magistrates courts.
- Answer
-
The impact of court closures on travelling distances and travelling time to courts will be evaluated fully during the consultation phase and the findings included in the full impact assessment that will be produced alongside the consultation responses.I must stress that no decision has yet been taken to close Ammanford or Llandovery magistrates courts and I encourage responses to the public consultation that is ongoing and which closes on 15 September.
