- (3) whether he has made an estimate of the number and proportion of councillors elected in May 2010 who were (a) under 25, (b) under 30, (c) under 35, (d) under 40, (e) under 50, (f) over 60, (g) over 65, (h) over 70, (i) over 80 and (j) over 90 years old.

We have made no such estimates. Data on the age profile of councillors are collected by the Local Government and Improvement Development body (previously known as IDeA) as part of its National Census of Local Authority Councillors in England, the last of which was carried out in 2008.
