Dogs: Breeding
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what steps she plans to take to ensure that measures suggested by the Advisory Council on the Welfare Issues of Dog Breeding are implemented by (a) the Kennel Club and (b) breed clubs.
- Answer

The Government welcome the establishment of the independent Dog Advisory Council, whose members are currently being appointed. However, it is premature to offer a commitment to facilitate any recommendations that the council may make.
