Taxis: Fuels

- To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether his Department has carried out research on the opportunities for use of alternative fuels in taxis; and if he will make a statement.

The Department for Transport has not carried out research which looks specifically at the opportunities for use of alternative fuels in taxis. However, the Department has commissioned work to look at biofuel deployment options across transport modes, including in the road transport sector, which is due to report in the spring.
