Common Agricultural Policy

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government when they expect to meet European Commission representatives to discuss the forthcoming European Commission green paper on future Common Agriculture Policy reforms.

My honourable friend the Minister of State (Jim Paice) will attend the Agriculture Council in Brussels on 29 November, where there will be a first discussion on the European Commission’s proposals (published on 18 November) on the future common agricultural policy. We will continue to engage actively with the European Commission, European Parliament and other member states throughout the duration of the negotiations.
