To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what estimate he has made of the likely cost to the public purse of any redundancy following the transfer of functions of (a) the Consumer Affairs branch of the Office of Fair Trading and (b) Consumer Direct.
Answer

No estimate has yet been made within the OFT of the likely cost to the public purse of any redundancy following the transfer of functions of Consumer Direct or of OFT consumer functions.
