Oral question asked in the House of Lords, by Lord Davies of Oldham (Labour). It was answered on Wednesday, 8 December 2010.
Maritime and Coastguard Agency
- Question
- My Lords, is the Minister briefed on his obvious point? This is the second question where we have had a response from the Front Bench which is driven by the necessity for cuts and not for protection of the quality of the service. Will he address himself to that question?
- Answer
-
My Lords, the necessity for the cuts arises from the party opposite... My Lords, we are committed to maintaining an effective coastguard service.
