Planning
- Question
- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what assessment they have made of whether Natural England have satisfied the provisions of Section 3 of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 to consult such bodies as have an interest in planning application DCNW2008/1289/F to Herefordshire County Council.
- Answer
-
Section 3 of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 requires Natural England to consult other bodies when it is reviewing matters that relate to its general purpose. Defra assesses whether Natural England has satisfied this provision as part of its ongoing monitoring of the performance of Natural England. We do not believe that the provisions of Section 3 apply to individual planning applications.
