Armed Forces: Parachute Operations
- Question
- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what is the average cost of further training to qualify a soldier to parachute on operations; and what is the annual cost of maintaining such a qualification.
- Answer
-
Ministry of Defence accounting systems do not hold financial data in a format which would provide the information requested. Expenditure is not captured by activity eg parachute training. The costs of such an activity would fall across a number of different accounting codes and cannot readily be separated out.
