Armed Forces: Parachute Operations

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government on how many occasions in the last 20 years regular United Kingdom forces have been deployed on operations by parachute.

UK parachute forces were formally deployed in Sierra Leone in 2000. Although the Special Forces have a parachute capability, information on any operations relating to them has been withheld as its disclosure would or would be likely to prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the Armed Forces.
