Control Orders
- Question
- To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they plan to end control orders.
- Answer
-
I refer the noble Lord to the Home Secretary's Statement of 26 January 2011(Official Report, Commons, col. 306) which I repeated in this House (Official Report, col. 964). As we made clear we have concluded that control orders should be replaced with a new system of terrorism prevention and investigation measures.
