Forests

Question
To ask Her Majesty’s Government how they will respond to the recent suggestion by the National Trust that it may purchase land owned by the Forestry Commission.
Answer

Defra and the Forestry Commission are currently conducting a public consultation about future ownership and management of the public forest estate in England. As a part of this process, views are being sought from a wide range of potential private and civil society partners on a number of new ownership and management options.
