Arms Trade Treaty

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what resources HM Revenue and Customs is dedicating to supporting and taking forward their approach to the Arms Trade Treaty in 2010–11 and 2011–12.
- Answer

Officials from HM Revenue and Customs are working with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on the Arms Trade Treaty. These officials are advising on enforcement issues relating to the international movement of weapons. HM Revenue and Customs officials will continue to provide advice to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office during the treaty negotiations in 2011 and 2012 as required.
