- To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when the decision was taken to publicise reports that Colonel Gaddafi had travelled to Venezuela.

[holding answer 3 March 2011]: I responded to a question from the media when leaving the European Union Foreign Affairs Council on 21 February 2011. In this, I noted that I had no information that Colonel Gaddafi had travelled to Venezuela, but had seen some information that suggested he may have travelled there.
