Olympic Games 2012
- Question
- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what mechanisms they have put in place to notify operational forces about observing the London 2012 Olympic Truce.
- Answer
-
Her Majesty's Government are considering very carefully their position on the London 2012 Olympic Truce. Any decision taken will factor in the views of our allies, and in the case of Afghanistan the views of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and NATO. The Ministry of Defence has a wide variety of existing mechanisms for communicating with its forces.
