Imitation Firearms

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what recent representations her Department has received from (a) police organisations, (b) medical professionals and (c) others on legislation on the sale, ownership and use of BB guns.

[holding answer 14 March 2011]: The term 'BB gun' is commonly used to refer to airsoft guns. The Home Office has received no recent formal representations on their sale, ownership and use. They are subject to the provisions of the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 to the extent they are imitation firearms.
