Burma

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government how much money has been frozen in (a) the United Kingdom, and (b) the European Union, as a result of European Union sanctions on Burma.

The UK has frozen £52,000 as a result of the European Union sanctions against Burma. We cannot ascertain how much money has been frozen in the European Union as a whole, as member states are not required to report on this.
