Audio Recordings

Question
To ask the hon. Member for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross, representing the House of Commons Commission, pursuant to the answer of 4 April 2011, Official Report, column 566W, on motions: audio recordings, whether the House of Commons Commission plans to place on the parliamentary website the remainder of the sound recording of the debate held on a Motion of no confidence in the Government on 28 March 1979; and if he will make a statement.
Answer

The selected clips from the 1979 audio recording of the debate held on a Motion of no confidence in the Government on 28 March 1979 have been published on the Living Heritage page on the Parliament website. Web access to complete archive films would require a major development of the Parliament Live TV website. Currently there are no plans to do this.
