- To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills pursuant to the answer of 16 May 2011, Official Report, column 108W, on students: loans, what proportion of students currently taking up places in higher education pay upfront fees.

We estimate that around 14% of English domiciled full-time undergraduate students who studied in the UK and were eligible for full tuition fee support in 2009/10 did not take out fee loans from the Student Loans Company to cover their fees.
