Waste Management: Food

Question
To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether it is their intention to require the use of food-waste bins by all households; and, if so, under what legislative instrument the policy will be introduced; what sanctions are intended for non-compliance; and how those sanctions will be enforced.
Answer

The Government have no plans to require the use of food waste caddies (containers) by all households. Local authorities are responsible for delivering high quality waste and recycling solutions that meet local needs.
