Interreg IVA France (Channel) England Programme

Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what the (a) monetary value, (b) recipient and (c) purpose was of each grant made under the Interreg IVA France (Channel) England programme since the scheme's inception.

Answer: The information requested has been drawn from the website set up by the programme's managing authority (Région Haute-Normandie) and is set out in a table which has been placed in the Library of the House.Ministers are of the view that a number of these programmes, inherited from the last Administration, do not represent good value for money for the taxpayer. I am also placing in the Library of the House a copy of a letter from the Secretary of State to the European Commission on this issue.
