Horn of Africa

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what discussions they have had with the head of the United Nations World Food Programme about emergency food distribution in the Horn of Africa.

The Department for International Development (DfID) remains in close contact with the World Food Programme (WFP) regarding the organisation's emergency operations in the Horn of Africa. The Secretary of State for International Development and the head of WFP, Josette Sheeran, have discussed WFP's response to the situation in the region. Going forward DfID will continue discussions with WFP and other humanitarian actors responding in the Horn.
