Badgers

Question
To ask Her Majesty’s Government what is their latest information on the expected date of availability for an oral vaccine against tuberculosis in badgers; and, if this is later than 2015, what is the reason for the delay.
Answer

Developing an oral vaccine against tuberculosis in badgers is proving more difficult than originally hoped. This means that the possibility of a usable oral badger vaccine is many years away. We cannot say with any certainty if and when an oral badger vaccine might be available for use in the field.
