Policing and Crime Act 2009

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government how many closure orders have been made under Section 21 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009.

Information on the number of closure orders made under Section 21 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009 and the number of orders requiring attendance at meetings which have been made under Section 17 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009, including how many have been breached, is not available as it is not centrally collected. The number of defendants proceeded against at magistrates’ courts and found guilty at all courts and sentenced for offences under the Policing and Crime Act 2009, Sections 14, 16 and 19 of which came into force in April 2010, in England and Wales in 2010 (the latest available) can be viewed in the table. Court proceedings data for 2011 are planned for publication in spring 2012.
