Employment and Support Allowance: Mining

- To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many people in receipt of employment and support allowance were formerly employed in the mining or steel industries in the latest period for which figures are available.

The information requested is not available.Information on occupation may be collected for some benefit claimants as part of the claims process, in particular, those in employment at the time of claim, but is not carried through to the datasets available for analysis.
