Banking: Switzerland

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether the losses at UBS will lead to a reduction in the tax revenue they will receive from the bank.

The Government cannot comment on the affairs of particular taxpayers. However, the costs of running a banking trade will normally be deductible in computing a bank's trading profits for the purposes of corporation tax in the same way as they would be for any other trading company.
